29th annual Gautier Mullet and Music Festival
Festival organizers in Gautier are hard at work getting ready for a fun festival this Saturday.
The 29th annual Gautier Mullet and Music Festival returns this Saturday at the lawn next to the old Singing River Mall.
Live music and vendors highlight the event which also features a mullet toss and cosplay costume contest.
Troy Guillotte with the festival says the event honors the fish, not the hairstyle, and celebrates the seafood industry in Gautier. “It is our way in the City of Gautier to celebrate some aspect of the coastal culture that we’ve got. Biloxi’s got shrimp and oysters. Gulfport’s got seafood and crawfish. Gautier’s got mullet.”
The festival opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.
