Hancock County interim superintendent on the job
The Hancock County School District Board of Education announced Rhett Ladner as the interim superintendent for the 2022-2023 school year and Friday was his first day on the job.
The unanimous decision was made at the board meeting on August 23rd. He is a 28-year educator and 21 of those years was serving kindergarten through 12th grade as an administrator. “I guess my first job is to continue the legacy of all the great superintendents in the Hancock County School District. We have a rich tradition of academic excellence, and the culture of Hancock County. So, my first job is to really evaluate where we are, those great things that we already have in place, and really just focus on tweaking those things that are already established.”
Ladner’s dream is to lead Hancock County to become the number one school district in the state.
