Mississippi State heads into bye week
Over in Starkville, the Bulldogs are also trying to get a past a big loss to an Alabama school.
Mississippi State lost to the seventh ranked Auburn Tigers last Saturday night 56-23.
The Bulldogs struggled on defense, giving up 335 passing yards to Auburn Quarterback Bo Nix. State also didn’t have much success on offense and that included Running back Kylin Hill.
The junior running back was held to just 45 yards on the ground, his lowest mark of the entire season.
In a press conference today, Hill discussed the importance of forgetting the past and focusing on the next game. “To move forward, the best thing we can do you know, if you keep thinking about the loss, negative things will happen until the next game. Once again like coach is always saying, 0-0 this week coming up, gotta get that win.”
The Bulldogs will have some time to prepare for their next game as they’re on a bye this weekend. State will return to the field on October 12th against the Tennessee Volunteers.
