9/4 – Payton’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast
FORECAST: Another afternoon of unseasonably hot temperatures. Highs will climb into the mid to upper 90s today with a few clouds, but for the most part it will be sunny. Tonight will be clear with lows in the mid 70s. The remainder of the workweek will by dry and sunny, but humidity will start to return later this week. This weekend will be mainly dry, but we can’t rule out an isolated shower.
TROPICS: We continue to watch five areas in the Atlantic tropics. Dorian will impact coastal areas of Georgia and the Carolinas through Friday with High winds, storm surge and tornadoes. Tropical Storm Fernand will move into Mexico today and dissipate. Tropical Storm Gabrielle will move through the open Atlantic to the north. A round of waves moving out of Africa will have to be watched over the next several weeks for tropical development.
