Gulfport Central Middle School responds to bomb threat

Gulfport School District Superintendent Glen East reported a bomb threat written in a bathroom stall just after 2:30 Friday afternoon.

Faculty and staff performed a standard fire drill, students evacuated the building. Law enforcement did a sweep of the school and nothing was found. Students were released from the parking lot at regular dismissal time.

Administration sent out text and voice alerts to all parents, alerting them of the situation.
