Drivers injured in four-truck collision on Highway 63 in Jackson County

The northbound lanes of Highway 63 in Moss Point reopened at Saracennia Road hours after four large trucks collided.

According to Highway Patrol, that accident happened around 5 this morning and there were serious injuries.

One of the trucks was a cattle trailer, hauling 127 cows. None of the cows were injured, but they did have to be off-loaded to another trailer.

An empty box truck and two dump trucks were also involved in the crash.

Part of the clean up process included soaking up gas and oil that leaked from the trucks. Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Cal Robertson said, “Anytime you have wet roadways, it’s always a little more challenging to drive, a little more challenging to stop. So there again, there are four semi-trucks involved in this and there is large equipment it takes to clean this stuff up.”
