Back to School Block Party

Kids and parents in Hancock County had a chance to have some fun and learn about community resources on Saturday.

The Hancock County NAACP and local businesses and organizations teamed up to host a back-to-school block party on Second Street.

Kids had the opportunity to enjoy face painting and music and information was available about scholarships, community events, and future career information. Hancock County NAACP President Gregory Barabino said, “There’s a lot of resources out here that are not being utilized, so the organizations get a chance to interact with the community and they get a bigger feel and a bigger chance to talk to more people.”
