A head-on crash on Mississippi 53 left one dead and another seriously injured.

A head-on crash on Highway 53 has claimed the life of one person and sent another to the hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened about 12:20 p.m. on Highway 53 between Finley Drive and Indian Springs Road.
