2019 Gulfport Anchor Games

With an effort to raise money for a great cause, the 2019 Gulfport Anchor Games welcomes all athletes and challengers to compete under the Barksdale Pavilion.

On August 17^th and 18^th, over 120 athletes composed of individuals and teams will test their CrossFit skills. Prizes are up for grabs for beginner and elite competitors.

The event is sponsored by Gulf Islands Waterpark and raises money for the ‘Kidz Outdoors’ Charity.

This charity allows kids with limited abilities to hunt and fish with the use of technology or private charters. Event Coordinator Derek Shoemake said, “It’s for kids. We hate to see kids with any kind of disability or any kind of limited time because of a disability. So, whatever we can do to help, it always means a lot for everybody here and everybody involved.”
