Arrest made in missing Oxford student’s case

Police in Oxford, Mississippi have arrested a 22-year-old man in the case of a missing Ole Miss student.

Sheldon Timothy Herrington, of Grenada, is charged with murder and no bond has been set.

Jimmie ‘Jay’ Lee is a University of Mississippi student who went missing exactly 2 weeks ago, on July 8, 2022.

Lee’s car was located on July 11, 2022 at a towing company. The vehicle had been removed from the Molly Bar Trails Apartment Complex a few days before.

Lee was last seen leaving Campus Walk apartments just before 6 a.m. on July 8th. He might have been visiting someone at the complex.
