Third generation expanding building, farm supply company to Coast

Building houses and relationships, Dufrene Building Materials has come to the Coast and is open to the public.

Dufrene held its grand opening on Friday morning at its store on Highway 49 in Lyman, offering good deals, vendors and door prizes.

The company has grown to more than 200 employees in four locations.

President and CEO Paul Dufrene had the honor of ‘cutting the wood’ to open the store a friends, family and employees held piece of lumber.

“It’s a long time coming, it’s probably about a year process that we decided to make the move to Harrison County and the city of Gulfport,” said Paul Dufrene. “We finally got to open up our big beautiful store.

“We’re a third generation company. Myself and my two brothers are going on two years now that we bought it from my father and my mother so come out and see us! ”
