Free Youth Football Camp in Gautier

The City of Gautier and the Gautier High School football coaching staff hosted a free football camp for kids ages five to 12.

The camp happening on the Gautier High football field and campers getting to interact with several members of the football team.

They were given the full experience by the learning helpful skills for every position on the field.

This helps them understand the game of football better and gets them fired up for the upcoming Friday night lights at the Swamp. Gautier Head Football Coach Marcus High said, “It was a great day today, we were finally able to get the kids out. It’s been two years since the City of Gautier has been able to do this. We had a ton of kids out there today, got them involved. We taught the kids basic fundamentals with offense and defense, running drills, things like that to get them going. Brought some of our football players out there, they love getting out there with them. Then we put them through like a little recruiting combine where we bring them in and they were able to take pictures with their family with the jerseys on you know…it’s all about the kids and getting the sport back to where it needs to be.”
