Ingalls Shipbuilding releases statement regarding EEOC Settlement

Ingalls Shipbuilding released a statement relating to the EEOC settlement.

In April 2018, two women claimed an Ingalls employee had behaved inappropriately. Allegations of sexual harassment were not found to be substantial, but the employee was terminated for violating other polices.

Ingalls found no evidence of the claims of sexual acts alleged in the EEOC’s complaint, but responded to stop any unlawful conduct.

Kimberly Aguillard, the spokesperson for Ingalls, said the company has strong policies to prevent harassment and retaliation.

She said the polices are communicated to the workforce and training is conducted routinely to ensure the employees understand the policies.
