2019 Autism Awareness Fundraising Weekend
Stars of the gridiron are on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to give back to the community and raise money for a great cause.
The Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort was star-studded with NFL players both past and present. More than a dozen players set up shop in the casino’s main entrance and met with fans, residents, and visitors on the Coast.
This is the kick off to the 2019 Autism Awareness Fundraising Weekend. The players will donate all proceeds to the Mississippi Centers for Autism and Related Development Disabilities.
Maurice Molittle played for the Chicago Bears and he says he loves using his platform to give back.“Giving back to the community is one of the hugest things I could ever imagine doing. Now, I’m in another state doing the exact thing. So my thing is giving back to the community is the biggest thing especially the kids because they are the most important thing. They are our future. That’s we’re looking at right now.”
This weekend also includes a golf tournament and silent auction.
