Biloxi Regional Medical Center Inc. donates over $300k to local organizations

For more than 20 years, the Biloxi Regional Medical Center Board has been donating nearly all its income to charity.

Today, the board presented $330,000 to representatives of local nonprofit organizations.

Checks were presented to St. Vincent DePaul, Bethesda Clinic, Loaves and Fishes, Women’s Resource Center, William Carey School of Pharmacy, and Mississippi Centers of Autism.

The charities receiving funds were selected because they are local nonprofits that are good for the community, but often don’t receive state funding and are usually medically based. Biloxi Regional Medical Center Inc. Board Chair Rob Briscoe said, “It’s a pleasure to be able to do that to help help others.”

Biloxi Regional Medical Center Inc. is an organization with a board of business professionals and other prominent local citizens, looking to make a positive impact on their community.
