Neighborhood on John Clark Road in Harrison County moves forward

The Harrison County Board of Supervisors held a meeting Monday and on the agenda was a discussion on a subdivision of 235 homes on John Clark Road with some lots that back up against property zoned A-1 agriculture.

Supervisors had initially approved the subdivision, but neighbors, many of whom were at the meeting, objected to the plan and appealed the board’s decision.

Residents who were opposed said the agricultural property already houses farm animals including goats, pigs, and chickens.

After discussion, Beverly Martin moved to deny the appeal and move ahead with the subdivision. It was seconded by Connie Rockco and approved 4-1. Rebecca Powers voted no.
