Members of ‘Nam Knights of America’ deliver flag to Biloxi resident
Members of the ‘Nam Knights of America’ traveled to Long Beach this weekend to present a flag to a Biloxi resident.
The Spirit of ’76 chapter out of Fort Walton Beach traveled with the Chattahoochee Valley Chapter out of South Georgia to deliver this flag to Phillip LeCara. The flag was given to LeCara’s family in honor of his brother who was a Vietnam veteran who died.
Unfortunately for LeCara, he was unable to make the funeral due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Nam Knights decided to take the flag and make a seven-hour trip on motorcycles for the sole purpose of delivering it along with the 21 shells from the 21-gun salute to LeCara. Spirit of ’76 Chapter President Allan ‘Psyop’ Porter said, “Especially today you know with the things happening in the world and the veterans not getting I guess treated 100% like they should you know from the past. It means a lot.”
Chattahoochee Valley Chapter President Martie ‘Yoda’ Pearson said, “It’s an honor to be honest with you. This is what we’re built off and based off of to do stuff for military, law-enforcement, you know the ones that are here and the ones that are passed.”
Phillip LeCara was a Vietnam veteran as well.
