CTA offering Free Transit Day June 16th
With gas approaching $5 a gallon, Coast Transit Authority is inviting you to ‘dump the pump.’ Finding ways to save gas and money all year, CTA wants you to try their Free Transit Day on Thursday, June 16th.
All CTA buses are free so you can hop aboard the trolley, like the beachcomber or casino hopper, to get where you need to go.
Mississippi’s first battery electric bus for public transit will also be on display at the Biloxi Transit Center.
CTA wants you to experience riding public transportation and save some cash, boost the economy, and promote a greener community. CTA Executive Director Kevin Coggin said, “It’s a day to create awareness of public transit and all the benefits of public transit, clean, safe, affordable, on time. Just to get people to come out and try it and ride around and see what we have to offer.”
If you ride next Thursday, you’ll get to meet CTA staff from noon to 4 at the Biloxi or Gulfport transit centers and enjoy a free lunch.
