Dump truck brings down power lines in Gulfport

Today, around 3 p.m. at Mobile Lumber and Millwork on Lorraine Road in Gulfport, a dump truck was leaving the parking lot with the its bed in the air.

Other motorists were honking to let the driver know.  Their beeps were in vain and the bed got tangled in a powerline and brought down a transformer.

Then the transformer hits the ground, flames burst out.

News 25 reached out to the business, who said they did not suffer any power problems.
