“Free Fishing” to be Offered With National Fishing and Boating Week
Love fishing but don’t have a license just yet?
Well, we have good news for you because you can take advantage of two upcoming “free fishing days” in Mississippi.
Mississippi’s Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks wants you to mark your calendar for National Fishing and Boating Week, starting June 1st and running through June 9th.
Those first two days, June 1st and 2nd, are designated as “free fishing days in Mississippi,” meaning any person may sport fish without a license.
Also, daily permits to fish at our state’s fishing lakes and state park lakes are not required on those two days.
