Two MGCCC students receive national scholarship

Two MGCCC students were awarded one of the most prestigious national scholarships you can receive.

Rebecca Davis of Moss Point and Meghan Nguyen of Ocean Springs were the only Mississippi students to receive the Jack Kent Cooke Transfer Student Scholarship.

The scholarship is given out to just 61 students across the country and will provide recipients with up to $40,000 annually.

In addition to the scholarship the students will receive free advising to guide them through the process of transferring to a four year school.
