New location in Hattiesburg possibly exposed to measles

Seventy-one new measles cases have been confirmed in the last week for a total of 626 cases in 22 states in the U.S.

Now, state health officials are looking into a new location of possible measles exposure in Mississippi. Officials say the exposure came from an out-of-state traveler now reported at three locations in Hattiesburg from April 9th through the 11th.

The latest location has been reported as the Turtle Creek Mall Food Court on Wednesday, April 10th from noon to 2 p.m. The other known locations include a Subway inside the Circle K on Highway 11 on Tuesday, April 9th between 2 and 4 p.m. and a Raising Cane’s on Hardy Street between 10 and 11 p.m.
