Fatal accident in Bay St. Louis

On April 12, 2019, at approximately 07:35 P.M., The Bay St. Louis Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 603 and the Interstate I-10.

The result of the investigation concluded that a Toyota Camry was crossing from South bound lanes of Highway 603 to the East bound on-ramp to Interstate I-10 when a collision occurred with a Chevrolet Silverado travelling North on Highway 603.

The two unrestrained rear passengers of the Toyota Camry, 44-year-old Thi Ngoc Phan and 21-year-old Cam Nguyen, were transported from the scene for medical care, but later succumbed to injuries from the crash.

The driver and front seat passenger were also transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the Chevrolet Silverado was not injured in the crash.

There were no indications that either driver was intoxicated and the driver of the Toyota Camry received traffic citations as result of the investigation.
