Milwaukee Brewers No.1 Prospect Sal Frelick promoted to Biloxi
Already in first place in the Southern League South standings, the Biloxi Shuckers got even more firepower today, having added the top prospect of the Milwaukee Brewers, Sal Frelick.
His promotion from High-A Wisconsin comes on the back of a hot start through 21 games, hitting .291 with 12 runs scored and nine driven in, two homers, and six stolen bases.
Frelick was the 15th overall pick in the 2021 MLB First Year Player Draft and is the first Brewers player from that class to get the call to Biloxi.
The Shuckers are now one of just two Double-A teams with all three of the organization’s top prospects at the Double-A level at the same time and they’re all in the same outfield alongside Joey Wiemer and Garrett Mitchell.
