Woman faces embezzlement charges for rigging slots
A former Silver Slipper employee is facing felony embezzlement charges for rigging slot machines and taking money from fake jackpots.
The casino has filed a lawsuit against 28-year-old Geovoni Reese after firing her in 2017. The civil suit in Hancock County accuses Reese of fraud.
The casino is trying to have her pay back at least $36,000 that she’s accused of taking through 81 false transactions.
Reese’s attorney says she didn’t keep the money and that another employee set up the scam.
