Tyrann Mathieu expected to sign with the Saints

LSU fan favorite Tyrann Mathieu is heading back to New Orleans as he is now expected to sign with the Saints.

The contract is reportedly worth $33 million over three years, $18 million of that guaranteed money.

This signing, on top of the signing of Marcus Maye, now completes the safety rebuild after losing Marcus Williams to the Ravens and Malcolm Jenkins to retirement.

The three-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champion played high school football in New Orleans for St. Augustine before signing with the Tigers.

He was a third-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 before making other stops with the Texans and Chiefs.
