Woman killed in Pearl River County car crash

This morning a car crash in Pearl River County killed a Slidell woman.

Mississippi Highway Patrol released the name of the driver as 25-year-old Danielle Austin.

At about 6:30 a.m., Highway Patrol went to the scene of the accident on Highway 43 north of Jackson Drive. They found a 2009 Toyota Camry rolled over and crashed into a tree. Austin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation, but officials say she was not wearing a seat belt.
