Make-A-Wish grants Wisconsin boy a trip to Mississippi

A six-year-old from Wisconsin got his wish granted to visit a famous Mississippi couple and also visit the Mississippi Aquarium thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Sawyer Doyle is only six-years-old, but has had many complications undergoing four open-heart surgeries due to a heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Sawyer’s teacher nominated him for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. His wish was to visit Laurel, Mississippi and meet the host of his favorite TV show. Sawyer’s mom, Charity Doyle, said, “We got to meet Ben and Erin from the show ‘Hometown.’ That was Sawyer’s big dream to meet Ben and Erin. It was a really awesome experience.”

While traveling through Mississippi, they decided to stop by the Coast and visit some signature places including Margaritaville and the Mississippi Aquarium. “We are just looking forward to checking out the aquarium, checking out the beach a little bit, checking out the amenities at the hotel because the kids are excited about the game room.”

Sawyer was excited to see all the different animals at the aquarium. “Crocodiles, sharks, dolphins.”

Charity Doyle says none of this would have been possible without the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “They really have given us quit a gift doing this.”
