Driver in Jackson County standoff charged

The driver involved in a five hour standoff in Jackson County appeared before Jackson County Court Judge Mark Watts this afternoon.

Michael Mack was charged with three counts of aggravated assault against a police officer: one from Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and two from Mississippi Highway Patrol. He was also charged with one count of felony pursuit from Mississippi Highway Patrol.

There is no bond on any charges.
