Popps Ferry temporary road closure

Starting today a popular roadway in D’Iberville will be closed for the next few weeks.

The intersection of Popps Ferry Road and D’Iberville Boulevard will be closed while crews work on the roads. Motorists will not be able to turn north or south onto D’Iberville Boulevard from the new Popps Ferry Road intersection.

The intersection will remain closed while work crews remove the center lane for resurfacing. D’Iberville City Manager Clay Jones said, “We know that it is a headache. We call these growing pains. Our city is growing really fast. The good news is that this project is on schedule and on time so it will be done on time, weather permitting. We are really happy with the progress that we are making.”

The intersection will open back up in two weeks, weather permitting.
