39th annual Orchid Show and Plant Sale
The 39th annual Gulf Coast Orchid Show and Plant Sale kicked off today in Gautier.
All types of orchids and plants are filling the Gautier Convention Center and will be until Sunday. Vendors come from all over to participate in this show.
Most of them have been working with orchids and the plants they sell for years. So they are close to expert level and can help you pick out the perfect on.
If you didn’t get your question answered by one of the vendors, on Sunday the show will be hosting an information session on how to take care of these flowers. Vendor Jodie Shumaker said, “It’s quite educational to anybody. They are real sophisticated plants in the plant world and they just have exquisite beauty to them too. It’s a great time to see people and see your customers.”
If you would like to come by the orchid show they will be there from noon to 6 p.m. tomorrow and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. For more information on the event go to American Orchid Society’s website at aos.org.
