Good luck for 2019

To bring in good luck for the new year, it’s always good to eat some black-eyed peas and cabbage.

Cajun’s Fabulous Fried Chicken Buffet in Gulfport was the place to be to usher in 2019. The restaurant made sure all of their customers had good luck going into the new year as everyone received free black-eyed peas with every order.

Cajun’s is always packed on New Year’s Day as locals know exactly where to get great food if they decided to stay out of the kitchen.

The staff loves catering to their residents no matter what day it is, as long as they leave with a full stomach and a big smile. Cajun’s employee Shana Bell said, “Whether its New Year’s, a regular Monday or Tuesday, hey we are here, no matter how you look at it. Any holiday except Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we will be here any other day of the week.”

Bell tells News 25 New Year’s Day is one of the busiest times of the year for the restaurant, but it’s nothing they can’t handle.
