Arrests Made in “Operation Crackdown”
An early morning drug raid in Jackson County has landed 12 people in jail and arrest warrants out for an additional six more.
Crack cocaine, spice, prescription drugs, marijuana, and a gun were among the items collected in this morning’s sweep.
Today’s arrests are a continuation of “Operation Crackdown”, which the South Mississippi Metro Enforcement Team has been conducting for the past six months.
The operation started in August of 2014 with the arrests of 22 people, two of those directly related with today’s string of arrests.
The MET Team says once all arrests are made, it will be the official end to Operation Crackdown and the task force will then focus on more drug related operations throughout Jackson County.
