Dangerous Flooding
Something you would normally see in rivers has now taken over the roads.
“Rivers are all now at higher than normal levels, and those roads are shut off. We encourage people to stay away from them and not to drive into them.”
Police departments have taken extra steps to protect citizens by barricading off flooded roads.
However, some people decided that the barricades didn’t apply to them today.
“It has water over it and Biloxi Police Department is doing a rescue right now because a driver drove around the barricade and is sitting on the vehicle.”
The reason these barricades are going up is because of flowing water moving over the roads. This makes them extremely dangerous for drivers.
The best advice?
Turn around, don’t drown.
