Gulfport QB TQ Newsome making it official with Southern Miss

Gulfport senior quarterback TQ Newsome will be signing with Southern Miss on Wednesday per his Twitter announcement yesterday.

He’ll be joining future division I signee Derick Hall at the table during an 8 a.m. ceremony in Bert Jenkins Gymnasium.

In 2018, Newsome led the Admirals to an undefeated district record for the second year in a row while rushing for more than 900 yards for the second year in a row.

The three star recruit will play running back at USM, but he threw 19 touchdowns to just three picks this season.
