Couple arrested for felony child neglect

A Biloxi couple has been arrested on three counts of felony child neglect.

Harrison County deputies responded to a house on Lamey Bridge Road regarding an unresponsive child who later died at Merritt Health.

Twenty-seven year-olds Thomas Cannette and Cassandra Lopresto are now behind bars after an investigation revealed a child was unsupervised for an extended period of time and was located behind a sofa in the home.

Investigators also discovered multiple signs of abuse on the other two children in the home.

After finding drug paraphernalia in the house, police arrested Cannette and Lopresto and booked them on three counts of felony child abuse.
