Long Beach man charged with drug possession, distribution

A Long Beach man was arrested Thursday on drug charges after Harrison County and MBN raided his house Thursday.

Phoenix Gene Carr, 21, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute — one for THC Wax and one for LSD after deputies and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents executed a search warrant on a residence on Red Creek Road in Long Beach.

Agents and deputies found 400 grams of THC wax, 360 doses of LSD, psychedelic mushrooms and methamphetamine, as well as firearms, bulk ammunition and drug paraphernalia used in drug distribution.

Investigators also recovered nearly $15,000 in drug proceeds.

Carr was booked into the Harrison County jail on a $10,000 surety bond set by Justice Judge Nick Patano. According to the jail website, Carr is out on bond.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said additional warrants are coming for other individuals involved.
