Home invasion in Gulfport

This morning, a Gulfport woman woke up to the terrifying sight of two intruders inside her home with one pointing a gun at her head.

Naomi Adkins tells News 25 she heard a loud boom noise as two men came into the house.

Schour Jamal Overstreet is wanted for one count of armed robbery and one count of armed robbery.  He is described as an 18-year-old black male, 5’9”, 140 pounds with brown hair and black eyes.

The incident happened on Rhorer Avenue in a neighborhood on the west side of Gulfport.

Adkins was in disbelief as she tells News 25 the neighborhood isn’t known for this type of behavior. She tried to remain calm during the invasion in order to stay alive. “As I seen the gun and the barrel of it, I understood this was no playing matter. This was the real deal.”

Adkins tells News 25 since this is a quiet neighborhood the two men probably thought no one was home during the invasion and was surprised to see her inside.
