Trick-or-Treat Down the Street
Downtown Ocean Springs was the place to be for trick-or-treaters at the Trick-or-Treat Down the Street event.
This annual family event kicked off with witches cruising the streets of Ocean Springs, passing out candy to the little ones. The costumes at this event were top notch.
Also, the Ocean Springs High School theatre department performed “Thriller” in the middle of the street as trick-or-treaters watched.
Ocean Springs residents tell News 25 what makes Halloween fun on the Coast. Resident Kim Billings said, “I grew up in Ocean Springs and so I get to see familiar faces and just the family atmosphere.”
Resident Emily Garner said, “You can create your own costume. You can really go all out with it. It’s really something you can’t do often. You can get together with your friends and have a really good time.”
Resident Grace Greenfield said, “Everyone is just having fun together. I just love this spirit. It makes me happy.”
This event is so huge that certain streets were closed for a certain period of time in order to keep the party going.
