Sports betting leads to high revenue in casinos

Casino revenue continues to rise in Mississippi after the second month of legal sports betting.

Gamblers lost $177 million statewide in September, up six percent from August. $5.5 million of those dollars were lost on sports wagers.

Revenue rose nine percent at the 12 coastal casinos from a year ago. Statewide, revenues are up one percent over the past year.
