Female body found Sunday on Highway 605 has been identified

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove has identified the female as 52-year-old Doretha Silkwood of Gulfport.

Cause of death is still under investigation. Anyone with information on her should contact the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation or the Harrison County Coroner’s Office.

Her body was found at 2:32 p.m. Sunday afternoon on Highway 605 near Three Rivers Road.
