Burn ‘em up in the Pass

From blessings to burn outs, the Cruisin’ the Coast festivities kept rolling with the ‘Burn ‘em up’ event in Pass Christian.

For one night only, Cruisers compete and wow spectators as they do burnouts down 2nd Street in Pass Christian. The judges are none other than the people in the crowd, determining the winner based off of applause. The winner receives gift cards to certain businesses on the Coast. Fifty cars signed up for the competition.

Manager of Cruisin’ the Coast in Pass Christian Adam Pace tells News 25 ‘Burn ‘em in the Pass’ is a great event for the town and the Coast. “It’s a genuine, clean, wholesome event. It’s a lot of people just wanting to come out and have fun in a family atmosphere.”

Spectator Teresa George said, “The cars, I just love the cars. I love autocross. I just love burning rubber.”

Although the crowd picks the winner of this event, Pace tells News 25 anybody that’s willing to come down and burnout they are all winners in his book.
