One woman injured, two horses killed in Hancock County

This morning, a woman from the Kiln was taken to the hospital and two horses were killed after the horses walked in the middle of the highway which caused the woman to crash.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol investigated the crash in Hancock County on Highway 603 northbound near old Grandad Road at about 6:30 a.m.

A 54-year-old woman was traveling northbound on Highway 603 in a Toyota Camry. The car crashed into two horses in the road then went off the road and crashed into a power pole.

The driver was transported by life flight to University Medical Center in New Orleans with serious injuries.
