7th annual Home of Grace Hog Ride

The roar of 500 motorcycles made their way from Pascagoula to First Baptist Church on Saturday for Home of Grace’s annual Hog Ride.

This ride started seven years ago to help bring awareness to those struggling with addiction. The money raised from this ride will go to help addicts receive treatment at the Home of Grace.

Home of Grace is a faith based recovery program that serves those struggling with drugs or alcohol in South Mississippi since 1965.

Governor Phil Bryant was there in support and says this ride is crucial in the wake of the opioid crisis. “Everyone has someone addicted to drugs or alcohol. It will take their life or it will take someone else’s. This is my opportunity as governor to do the most good and to raise money and bring awareness to the scourge of addiction. Most people don’t think these guys you see in leathers and riding Harleys would be raising money and in here worshipping in this sanctuary and praying for those that are addicted to drugs and alcohol, but that’s exactly what they do.”
