Car on fire on I-10 in Jackson County

This morning, police were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 10 involving a car on fire.

The accident happened near exit 61 which is the Gautier-Vancleave Road exit. One vehicle caught fire and ran into the median.

Several other accidents were reported along Interstate 10 during the wet weather this morning including Harrison County where one accident involved a Gulfport police officer and a separate accident involving a highway patrol officer who was rear ended near mile marker 31. That trooper received minor injuries.
