Saints’ Michael Thomas sets NFL record
Now lost in the stat line from Sunday’s game is the start to the season Michael Thomas is having.
Against the Browns, the third-year wideout set a new NFL record with 28 catches through the first two games of a season. In week two, Thomas hauled in 12 receptions for 89 yards and two touchdowns following a week one performance that saw the Ohio State product convert on 16 of 17 targets for 180 yards and a score.
Andre Rison set the previous high-mark with 26 back in 1994.
Thomas already owns the record for the most receptions through the first two years of an NFL career with 196.
