Chevron Refinery Releases Statement

Chevron Pascagoula Refinery recently received information from one of their law enforcement partners regarding a potential security issue. The released the following statement.
“The safety of our employees, contractors, visitors and community is our top priority. In accordance with our standard safety and security procedures, Chevron has enhanced our on-site security measures, such as limiting vehicle traffic into the refinery.”
“Chevron leadership is coordinating with law enforcement officials. As it is an ongoing issue, we cannot comment on the exact nature of the situation.”
“The refinery is currently in a secure position and employees are going about their normal duties and work schedules. We will continue to supply product to our customers, and maintain our focus on safety.”
