MSU QB earns pair of accolades

Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald has earned some pre-season recognition in the form of two watch-lists.

Both the Manning Award and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which go to the nation’s top signal caller, have tabbed the rising senior for his dual-threat ability.

Fitzgerald leads all returning FBS quarterbacks in career rushing touchdowns, 100 yard games, and yards per carry, coming off an ankle injury during the first quarter of last year’s Egg Bowl.
