Four dead in fatal accident identified

On 7-21-2018, The Mississippi Highway Patrol investigated a fatal crash in Pearl River County that occurred on Highway 53, near Savannah Millard Road, at approximately 12:30 a.m, which claimed the life of four occupants.

Upon arriving it appeared a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north on Highway 53 when it crossed the center line and crashed head on with a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Sonic.

The driver and left rear passenger (driver’s side) of the Sonic and the driver of the Silverado were transported to Forrest General Hospital with serious injuries. Four occupants of the Sonic, 46-year-old Phenicia Chambers, 11-year-old Sa’Mya Magee,  5-year-old Bryson Poole, and 11-year-old Me’Ori Sanjaya Le’Gier were pronounced dead on scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation,News 25 will update with more information as it becomes available.
