Summer camp jamboree
Summer camps on the Coast combined for a day full of activities at Jones Park.
Kids were excited to jump in bounce houses, cool off in the splash pad, and meet slithering new friends. There was also time for ultimate Frisbee and flag football.
The fun didn’t stop there as campers teamed up for relay races and tug-of-war. After all the friendly competition, kids cooled off with a nice refreshing snowball.
Bringing all the camps together gives the children the opportunity to meet new friends before school starts. Camper Aliyah Townsend said, “We’re just having fun. It’s just good to be with each other. It’s good to have fun with each other and spend time.’
Camper Cameron Joseph said, “Just the point of having friends to meet new people that don’t really have friends, to help make them feel better around everybody else.”
Kids from the Three Rivers Summer Camp are keeping their eyes on the prize later this week as they will compete against other campers in a talent show.
